Check In

  • Check in on day of arrival between 4:00pm – 10:00pm*
  • Please call Chalet Manager ahead of time to confirm

 

Induction On Arrival

  • The Chalet manager will:
    • Welcome all guests & provide them with a room key
    • Explain how to operate TVs and access to internet
    • Provide a safety briefing regarding:
    • Exits & safe fireplace practices
    • Snow fall danger areas around the Chalet
    • Slipping hazards around the Chalet

 

General Rules

  • Guests enter the Winterbrook Chalet on the basis of fully accepting all Winterbrook Chalet Lodge Rules
  • The Chalet reserves the right to cancel any booking if there is any material and ongoing breach of Lodge Rules
  • The Manager is in control of the Chalet at all times
  • Guests must follow Chalet Manager directions / instructions at all times
  • Guests are responsible for the safety of their valuables, cash, credit cards, equipment and clothing.
  • The Winterbrook Chalet cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage of such items.
  • Guests are responsible for the behaviour of their children and will be required to pay for any repair or replacement of any damaged property.
  • Guests are required to maintain a reasonable standard of dress in shared dining and lounge areas.*

 

Guest Comfort, Heating & Fire Place

  • Please keep all bedroom windows closed
  • Central heating can be adjusted by Floor by the Chalet Manager. 
  • Whenever Guests leave lounge room, they must place fire grate on fireplace
  • Fire wood will generally be replenished each day by the Chalet Manager

 

Cooking & Cleaning

  • Food preparation areas must be always kept clean and tidy by Guests
  • Guests are responsible for keeping the lodge common areas clean and tidy during their stay.
  • Rangehood must be used during cooking
  • Stove, Ovens and Microwaves must be wiped after use
  • Dirty dishes should be rinsed and placed in dish washer (Not left in sinks or on tables)
  • Dish washers are to be turned on each night before going to bed
  • Any unused perishable food must be removed from fridge and storage areas before departure.*

 

Smoking

  • Smoking in the lodge is strictly forbidden
  • Any guest found smoking in the lodge will be asked to leave the Winterbrook Chalet immediately

 

Check Out

  • Unless otherwise agreed with the Chalet manager rooms must be vacated by 10:00am on day of departure*
  • If Guests ski on day of departure packed bags can be left in basement (but must be collected by 2:00pm)*
  • Bags collected after 2:00pm will incur a late check out fee (equiv. to 25% of nightly room rate)*

 

Procedures for End of Stay

  • All room lights are to be turned off & and keys returned to Chalet Manager
  • Bins emptied and taken to bin hut on other side of The Avenue (opposite Reindeer)*
  • Leave all internal bedroom doors open

 

Shoes & Ski Gear

  • No Boots and Shoes in the lodge. This is a sock/slipper only lodge 
  • All wet gear to be left in drying room; including
  • Jackets and Ski Pants (wet ski pants should be removed in drying room – not in Guest rooms)
  • Gloves, helmets, neck warmers
  • Outside shoes to be stored in wooden racks in entry foyer (not left on floor)
  • Ski Boots to be hung up or under seat in drying room
  • If the Chalet is full and storage is limited, combine jacket and ski pants on a single hanger
  • Do not place gloves on heater in Drying room.  Always hang gloves on wire rack
  • Skis, Board and Poles to be kept outside in metal cages (not free standing on balcony)

 

Food and Drinks

  • No food in bedrooms
  • No food in top floor kids break-out area
  • All food is to be consumed in kitchen, dinning room or lounge room
  • Plates and glasses must be placed in dish washer immediately after use (not left on tables, kitchen bench or in sinks)

 

Coffee Machine

  • Complimentary coffee and tea are available at any time
  • Guests are required to keep Kitchen and coffee/tea making facilities clean at all times
  • Chalet Manager can show Guests how to use the coffee machine
  • Coffee machine must be cleaned immediately after use
  • Coffee Basket is to be removed and rinsed as soon as used (BEFORE COFFEE is consumed)
  • Steam wand is to be wiped clean immediately after use (BEFORE COFFEE is consumed)
  • Water in coffee machine should be topped up if Guests see it below ¼ (25%)

 

Bar & Beer Tap

  • Carlton Draught on tap is complimentary to Guests over 18 years old (subject to responsible use)
  • Only clean glasses are to be used (beer glasses are not to be re-used, as this increases risk of bacteria entering the lines)
  • Please empty beer tap drip tray at end of each day
  • If the Beer Tap is used it must be used in moderation
  • Bar and Beer tap are only available between 4:00pm and 10:00pm (unless closed earlier by Lodge Manager)

 

Responsibility & Liability

  • The Winterbrook Chalet will endeavour to provide services (electricity, water, sewerage, heating etc.)
  • However, should any breakdown occur, the Winterbrook will not be liable to pay any refunds
  • Any Guest that uses the Beer Tap does so under the express agreement that it is fully responsible for its actions and implications thereof
  • The Winterbrook Chalet does not take any responsibility for the actions of any Guests
  • Lodge Rules are Effective on and until the date a new set of Lodge Rules are Published on the Website
